Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) is a special category of Special Economic Zones (SEZ) with a focus on trading and warehousing. The scheme was announced in the foreign trade policy 2004 - 2009 to create trade related world class infrastructure to facilitate the import & export of goods and services with the freedom to carry out the trade transaction in free currency. This has since been incorporated in the SEZ Act 2005 and therefore FTWZ's are beneficiaries of all the provisions thereof.

The Board of Directors of the Company have decided to set up a Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) in Raigad District, Maharashtra. Steps have been intiated to conduct the Feasibilty Study for setting up of FTWZ project.

The proposed Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) would be in Panvel, Maharashtra which is in close proximity to JNPT, India's largest container port. The proposed site is also close to the new International Airport proposed in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). It is also accessible by National Highways which makes this land ideal for a FTWZ.
